Albedometers
Market leading Albedometers
Albedometers are instruments that measure global and reflected solar radiation, and the solar albedo. An albedometer is composed of two pyranometers with thermopile sensors; the upfacing one measuring global solar radiation, the downfacing one measuring reflected solar radiation.
Albedo, also called solar reflectance, is defined as the ratio of the reflected to the global radiation. Hukseflux offers a full range of albedometers, from second class to secondary standard.

Pyrheliometers
Market leading Pyrheliometers
Pyrheliometers are direct (normal incidence) solar radiation sensors, used in outdoor PV / CPV and CSP system performance monitoring, solar energy surveys and scientific meteorological and climate observations. A pyrheliometer is usually used in tracker-mounted operation, to keep the instrument aimed at the sun.
Hukseflux offers a complete range of pyrheliometers. High data availability is attained by heating of the front window. This suppresses dew and frost deposition. Top model DR30-D1 pyrheliometer has superior window heating and an internal tilt sensor to check tracker performance.

Pyrgeometers
Market leading Pyrgeometers
In meteorological terms, pyrgeometers are used to measure “downward and upward longwave irradiance”. Longwave radiation is the part of radiation that is not emitted by the sun.
Hukseflux pyrgeometers are suitable for day-and-night longwave irradiance measurements in meteorological applications. Our instruments can be heated, which improves measurement accuracy as it prevents dew deposition on its window. Because of features like this, model IR02 is popular and often used in agricultural networks. IR20 is a research grade pyrgeometer suitable for high-accuracy longwave irradiance measurements in climatological networks, in uncertainty assessments and as a calibration reference (IR20WS).

Radiometers
Market leading Radiometers
Radiometers are used in scientific-grade energy balance and surface flux studies. NR01 is a market leading 4-component net radiometer. It offers 4 separate measurements of global and reflected solar and downwelling and upwelling longwave radiation, using 2 sensors facing up and 2 facing down. From these 4 separate components the net radiation is derived. RA01 is a 2-component radiometer, offering two separate measurements of solar and longwave radiation. Both products feature a modular design, low weight, and easy levelling, and low solar offsets in the longwave measurement. The unique capability to heat the pyrgeometer reduces measurement errors caused by dew deposition.

About Measurement Devices
In addition to the critical role data loggers play in a data-acquisition system, there are other types of measurement devices. Some measurement devices are used to increase the number of terminals that data loggers can use, which enables them to measure more sensors or control more external devices. Other measurement devices offer additional capabilities that would otherwise be unavailable.
